Solaris 2023 – Our Best Yet

Every winemaker dreams of a perfect season. 2023 came close to that ideal — at least for our Solaris grapes.

An Ideal Summer

June and July were exceptionally warm and sunny — rare conditions in Lithuania. The grapes accumulated sugar while maintaining healthy acidity thanks to cool nights. This diurnal temperature variation is ideal for producing aromatic white wine.

A Late Autumn

October is usually when we grow nervous about frost. But in 2023, the weather was kind to us right through to the end of the month. This allowed the grapes to reach perfect ripeness, and we harvested them on October 15th — the latest harvest date in our history.

The Wine in the Bottle

Solaris 2023 is golden-amber in colour, with pronounced aromas of peach, lemongrass, and fresh citrus. On the palate it is elegant — gentle but purposeful, with a long mineral finish.
